April 2014, Zhang Liyin backstage at the YinYueTai V-Chart Awards with Donghae.
VIDEO: Zhang Liyin performs a cover of Li Guyi’s classic song, “The Rose in My Heart” on Shanghai TV’s Immortal Song.
33% laughing at Changmin; 33% appreciating Yunho; 33% being surprised by the gorgeous women so well hidden and popping out everywhere right on cue!; 1% reaffirming my love for TVXQ - thinking no one else could pull off something like this.

and now i want to cry because yunho will never get the recognition he deserves, no matter what he does. it’s those damned fixed opinions that people take as facts. he’s the dancer. yunho will always be the dancer. no matter how much he says that he loves to sing, and he won competitions for it, people will not take him seriously as a singer. they will always judge his singing based on his nasal rap (which i love but it’s not what shows ability). he has such a wonderful voice. he has the softest, warmest voice i have ever heard. he has participated in musicals before you know and his parts in ‘Rise…’ sound like something right out of a dream. all his singing parts are wonderful, not just in ballads, but that’s where you can tell that his voice has quality. it’s so unique and calm, it makes me ache that people will always look past him when he truly is one of a kind…
why so negative? who are these “people”? hey as long as he continues to do what he loves doing, we will continue to love him. so why worry so much about “people” … everyone will always have their own opinions on things and trying to change their minds can be like pulling teeth - painstaking and painful - so live and let live - love and let others love or hate as they please (ok maybe dislike would be preferable to hate, but…) - not everyone has to love/appreciate/admire the thing/person that you do for that person to be legitimately deserving of love and admiration … does that even make sense? anyway just let it go - don’t worry about things you cannot change - “people” will think how they want to think and that’s the way it should be. different opinions make our own that much more worth having. :) plus one day they might come around … and sure it’s nice to be acknowledged, but the world is not perfect and I think Yunho himself knows this (of course) and is okay with it - I feel like he’s the type of person to believe that working hard in itself is a reward for working hard…wait.. you know what i mean? - so all we have to do is to continue to support his work and appreciate all the effort and love that he puts into it regardless of public opinion - plus really, I don’t think TVXQ would be where they are today if Yunho really sucked at singing …
I would not be writing this for instance.
